Aerovironment Inc., US based leading global developer of Unmanned Aircraft Systems and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles for surveillance and reconnaissance, obtained $7.3 million deal from US Army.
As per this deal, Aerovironment will be responsible to offer its Puma unmanned aircraft systems logistics support services to US Army, over the next 1-year.
United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) chose Puma aircraft in 2008 for reconnaissance in war zones. Puma is a 13-pound, battery-powered aircraft with a video camera which runs in bad weather and over rugged terrain.
