Five global geophysics companies have filed tender documents to implement a 2D seismic marine survey of the offshore parts of Bangladesh. We have formed a tender evaluation committee headed by a director to evaluate the documents. After they are evaluated, Petrobangla will select a company and enter into a 10-year deal with it. Petrobangla will share in the profits from selling the data."

The 5 firms include China's BGP, Norwegian-US partnership TGS-NOPEC and Schlumberger, Norwegian Dolphin Geophysical Company, Russian Dalmorneftegeophysica (DMNG) and the British Geotrace.
